BIOGRAPHY

charles Feggans

Charles Feggans grew up in a modest family with five brothers and three sisters. Without a clear vision for his future, he decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps just two weeks after finishing high school, hoping to break the cycle of poverty – and he succeeded. After six years of serving on various Naval ships, Charles found himself in Vietnam, stationed at a camp for 12 months and 13 days, where he supported combat troops with supplies. Following his service, he pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s degree. Today, he resides in New Jersey.

What motivated Charles to write this book? The vivid memories of his time in Vietnam – the people he encountered, both on and off the camp, the difficult living conditions of the locals, the camp attacks, the harsh weather, and the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives in service of their country. These experiences stayed with him and became the driving force behind his writing.
